All of Shishio's attacks are based on fire. His first secret sword, Homuradama, makes his sword catch on fire. His second sword, Guren Kaina,  makes an explosion using gunpowder he hides in his glove. His final secret sword, Kagu Tsuchi, makes a tornado of fire spin around his sword. Personally, if I got burned almost to death, I'd be scared of Saitou's cigarette, much more use fire in my techniques. Every time I saw a bondfire I'd break down and start sobbing. But it seems Shishio's crazy enough to do it. And crazy people are cool.

Shishio's first apeared in Trust and Betrayal where he kills the traitor to the Rebellion. Afterward he takes Kenshin's place as the Hitokiri Battousai and kills a whole bunch of people. Eventually the new japanese government figure out he knows enough about the Rebellion to bring down the government. So they sneak attack him, knock him out, dump oil on him, and burn him alive. Fortionently, Shishio dosen't die, and plot's his revenge on the government. He's definently an anarcist. He gets a bunch of followers, an army, a girlfriend, and a battleship and is about to lay waste to Kyoto and Tokyo when Kenshin and Saitou and Sanosuke show up and make his battleship explode. He gets pissed and eventually battles all of them plus Aoshi. He kicks all their asses, until Kenshin uses the Amarameki-something on him. Even after getting the shit beat out of him by Kenshin, he still manages to get up and is about to kill Kenshin when he becomes a victum of Spontanius Human Combustion. In other words, he burst into flames and all that was left of him was ashes. (Yet another victum of Spontanius Combustion, how many more shall be lost to the epidemic?)So ends his life. However in the manga you learn that him and Yumi are together in hell and Shishio is thinking about overthrowing the leader of hell. Lord Shishio lives on !!!!

Yumi is Shishio's girlfriend which he kills in a attempt to kill Kenshin. For some reason, she's happy as she dies, she says she always wanted to help Shishio in his battles. She says she'll meet Shishio in hell and that their love is eternal. I think she's kinda crazy. But despite that I still think Yumi is the hottest character in all of Rurouni Kenshin. Her corpse is burned to ashes when Shishio's flaming body falls on hers. You know what, come to think of it damn near everyone is crazy!
